Akeepo is seeking a proactive Entry-Level Business Development Representative to join our Sales and Marketing team at Akeepo. This role is ideal for an individual with 1-3 years of experience who is eager to grow their career in business development. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and building relationships with prospective clients. With excellent verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor, you will represent Akeepo in both phone-based and in-person interactions, including at technology and industry events, while communicating our commitment to innovating our customers’ data journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Being a proactive, self-starter for day-to-day activities.
- Proactively identify and qualify sales leads through research, cold calling, and networking.
- Follow up on leads promptly and consistently to convert them into opportunities.
- Schedule and conduct in-person meetings with potential clients to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.
- Clearly communicate the business value of our data platform partners and Akeepo’s unique positioning to prospective clients in a compelling and professional manner.
- Represent Akeepo at technology and industry events to network, generate leads, and promote our mission.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for targeting new markets and expanding customer reach.
- Work with the marketing team to create social media and website content that aligns with Akeepo’s goals and engages target audiences.
- Utilize CRM platforms (e.g., Monday, ZoomInfo) to manage leads, track interactions, and maintain accurate records of all activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts surrounding business development processes, strategies, and tools.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly lead generation and meeting targets.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and related technology advancements to effectively position our offerings.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with a professional and polished demeanor.
- Proven ability to make cold calls, follow up on leads, and meet with clients in person.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Ability to utilize CRM platforms effectively to manage and track sales activities.
- Willingness and ability to work at technology and industry events, including occasional travel as needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales Management, IT/MIS, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
